Superintendent

The Brainerd Public Utilities Commission (BPUC) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Superintendent position to provide leadership and direction in matters relating to the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of the municipal utilities system including the Electric, Water, and Wastewater Treatment divisions.   With the Brainerd Public Utilities (BPU) Secretary/Finance Director, exercises general and administrative supervision over all BPU employees and operations.  This position requires strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Qualifications: High school graduate with minimum two year post secondary education in civil engineering or related field; Must possess and maintain a current MN Class D driver’s license; Five years of municipal utility related experience is required.  Utility supervisory experience is highly desirable; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent in knowledge gained through experience and/or education with at least five years of utility experience is desired. Additional requirements are detailed in the job description. The starting salary range is $82,000 - $86,500 DOQ plus an excellent benefit package. Must be committed to working safely; Must possess of a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A

Foreman

GIS Coordinator

RPU, a division of the City of Rochester, Minnesota (pop. 106,000), is the largest municipal utility in the State of Minnesota and is seeking a tech-savvy person to implement, operate, and maintain an enterprise wide GIS for the Utility. As the third largest city in the State of Minnesota and one of the fastest-growing municipalities, the City of Rochester is often named as a best place to live, raise a family, and retire.  In 2010, Kiplinger named Rochester one of the Top Ten Cities for the Next Decade. Asset Manager

Water Systems Operator

Electrical Distribution Manager

The Public Utilities Commission of Grand Rapids, Minnesota is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Electrical Distribution Manager.  This position involves technical managerial and administrative work in the planning, design, direction and control of the electric distribution system as well as supervising the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of the system.  In addition, the position involves the preparation of periodic reports, preparing and administering the department budget and long term capital investment plan. Qualified applicants must possess a B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering with a power option preferred, be a Professional Engineer or have the capability to obtain such accreditation. A minimum of five (5) years previous experience in electric distribution system work and two (2) years managerial or progressive supervisory experience is required.  The Grand Rapids Public Utilities Commission provides electrical distribution, water and wastewater treatment services to the greater Grand Rapids area. Mobile Substation

Shakopee Public Utilities has a trailer mounted  Westinghouse 7500 kVA, HV 115000 volt Delta with  Taps, LV: 4160Y/2400Y X 13800Y/7970 X 24000Y/13860 Mobile Substation with a Westinghouse 115kV, 3 Phase Fused Switch Trailer.  This Mobile Substation was rebuilt in 1988. 2.4 KV substation transformer

Truman Public Utilities (TPU) has a GE 2500 KVA rated, 69 KV to 2.4 KV (Delta/Delta) Substation Transformer for sale. Unit impedance is 7.2 Percent. The unit still sits in place at the TPU Substation. The reason the unit is available is that TPU has change the substation voltage from 2.4 KV to 12.47 KV. TPU commission will consider offers.
