Accidents, accountability, and best practices

Did you know the utilities sector has some of the highest accident rates in Minnesota? Join the MMUA safety team as we explore the causes of workplace accidents, prevention and mitigation strategies, effective emergency response techniques, and successfully implementing changes based on lessons learned.

Led by Assistant Director of Education and Outreach, Cody Raveling, these sessions will provide hands-on learning. They will prepare anyone within your organization to be part of a safety culture and to react with confidence and clarity when the unexpected happens.

Registration

Members: $200 per person
Non-members: $350 per person

Registration fees increase $50 per person on June 2. Refreshments will be provided.

Advanced registration is required and is limited to the first 50 at each location; no on-site registration allowed. Registrant must be employed by a utility, cooperative, or an approved affiliate.

Deadline: June 20, 2023

Certificate of Attendance

Attendees earn a certificate of achievement for their participation. Watch for an email from MMUA with the certificate upon completion of the course.

Cancellations/Refunds

MMUA will issue a refund on an advanced registration, less $35 per person processing fee, provided MMUA is notified by 4:30 pm on June 13, 2023. Sorry, no refunds after June 13.
