Generation School offers participants valuable classroom and hands-on instruction plus networking opportunities for generator operators and technicians. Whether a seasoned operator or just starting out in the field, all can benefit.

This year we will offer in-plant, hands-on instruction on Caterpillar, Cooper/Enterprise, and Fairbanks Morse engine sets. Attendees will also tour Integrated Power Systems and the city of Litchfield's generation facilities.

When registering, please indicate preference for hands-on instruction. NOTE: Generation School takes place at multiple locations. See below for details.

Hands-on instruction at the plants will include breakout sessions on the following topics:

  • Cooling water testing and treatment procedures - Darin Wrazidlo and Trent Brandon, Kurita Water Industries
  • Fuel cleaning and conditioning - Matt Johnson, Critical Fuel Technology
  • Maintenance and testing procedures for DC battery bank systems - Todd Lodico, Action Battery Wholesalers and Steve Belisle, BAE Batteries USA

PPE required for tours and hands-on training in the plants. NOTE: Ear plugs will be provided.

Registration Fee

Member Rate: $515 per person
Non-member Rate: $690 per person
NOTE: Registration fee increases $50 on March 18.

Fee includes: workshop tuition, materials, refreshment breaks, lunch on Wednesday and a certificate of attendance. Participants are responsible for all transportation and lodging.

Deadline to register is March 27, 2023.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are subject to a $35 charge per person if received by 4:30 pm on March 27, 2023. No refunds issued after March 27.

MMUA has negotiated reduced room rates starting at $119/night, not including tax. Please call the hotel directly to make reservation and ask for the "MMUA-Generation School" room block.

Certificates

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance. Watch for an email notification from MMUA after the event.
