THIS CONFERENCE HAS BEEN CANCELLED following the State of Minnesota's strategies in response to COVID-19.

MMUA’s Legislative Conference is an effective opportunity to inform and influence state lawmakers on key issues to municipal utilities.

The 2020 conference convenes with a welcome and overview from Governor Walz or a member of the administration on the new Sub-Cabinet on Climate. Then MMUA’s lobbying team will summarize the legislative session to date and provide a briefing on the issues. After lunch, members will visit legislative offices (appointments to be scheduled by members). Day one wraps-up with a legislative reception at our host hotel, the DoubleTree in downtown St. Paul. Be sure to encourage legislators to attend.

Day two features a half-day of presentations on issues ranging from clean water to MISO’s study on the increased use of renewables.

The linked information will walk you through conference registration and how to book a room at the Doubletree.
