Grand Rapids Seeks Conductor Cable

October 25, 2021

A Classified Ad isn't normally front page news, but with supply chain issues a hot topic these days and this one affecting a municipal utility, it deserves more attention.

Grand Rapids Public Utilities (GRPU) is looking for any vendor or utility that has extra reels of cable it could purchase. Here is what it seeks:

  • Three (3) 3,000 foot reels
  • 1/0 aluminum conductor, copper concentric neutral
  • EPR type insulation, 260 mil thickness
  • Polyethylene jacket.

If you have cable to spare, please contact Jeremy Goodell, Electric Department Manager, Grand Rapids Public Utilities Commission, at 218.326.7182 or email jjgoodell@grpuc.org
