Drawing a variety of media attention in recent days is the APPA National Lineworkers Rodeo, to be held Saturday, April 2 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. The latest to shine a spotlight on the event was M.A. Rosko of Fox 9 News, a Twin Cities-area TV station. The popular Rosko and a cameraman visited the Rodeo grounds the morning of Thursday, March 31. She interviewed MMUA Training and Safety Director Mike Willets, Shakopee Public Utilities Lineworker Brad Carlson and SPU Electric Superintendent Marv Athmann.
Rosko's reports are set to begin airing Friday, April 1, beginning at 6:40 a.m. Another report is set for 8:40 a.m. and other segments are expected to run at various times during the morning.
The Rodeo is set to begin with an 8 a.m. opening ceremony. The event is free and open to the public.
