Project Engineer - Water

The City of Rochester is Minnesota’s third largest City with a population of more than 110,000.  Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) is the largest municipal utility in the State of Minnesota. serving over 50,000 electric customers and over 39,000 water customers in a 57 square mile service area. The Project Engineer - Water is responsible for providing technical assistance to utility operating sections, preparing water infrastructure designs and standards, and conducting studies related to system planning and operation. This position also provides project management on contract projects as well as in-house projects and assistance for water infrastructure work for the water utility. This position reports to the Manager of Engineering..

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, from an accredited four-year college or university; AND 3 years of full-time employment experience managing new construction and capital improvement projects for a water utility, consulting firm, or closely related large commercial/industrial facility. A valid driver’s license and is also required. 

Starting salary range $87,327 to $102,736, depending on qualifications, with advancement to $128,421. 

Position is open until filled, with priority consideration for applications submitted by January 27, 2019.
