Senior Substation Electrical Engineer

Rochester Public Utilities, a division of the City of Rochester, Minnesota (pop. 110,000+), is the largest municipal utility in the State of Minnesota and is accepting applications for the position of Senior Substation Electrical Engineer, who is responsible for supervising engineering and/or technical sections and developing budgets and schedules. This position also provides project management and technical assistance to utility operating sections, prepares electrical design and standards, and conducts studies related to system planning and operation. This position also assists in electrical work for the Water Utility. The primary emphasis of this position may include electric substations, electric transmission or electric distribution systems as necessary.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering AND five (5) years of  progressively responsible full-time employment experience in the utility industry; including five (5) years of full-time employment experience with electrical utility infrastructure design, maintenance and construction.

2019 salary range of $94,097 to $138,377, depending on qualifications.
