MMUA's Annual Summer Conference includes a trade show for associate members to display their goods and services. This conference is a great opportunity to meet with municipal utility leaders from around the state. Associate members are also invited to sponsor events and/or host a hospitality suite.

Trade Show & Reception

Tuesday, August 17, 5-7 pm (set up begins at 2 pm)
Our trade show and reception is a great opportunity for our Associate members to meet with the attendees of our Summer Conference. Attendees tend to be general managers, superintendents and other key management positions as well as their governing board members.

Set up beings at 2 pm (no early setups allowed). Exhibit spaces will be pre-assigned. Each person attending receives a name badge and access to the reception. Must have name badge to attend.

Registration Fees*

Exhibit Space with a 6' Table: $195 each / $245 each on/after July 17
Exhibit Space without a Table: $195 each / $245 each on/after July 17
Attendees: $25 per person / $30 per person on/after July 17
Electricity: $30

You have the option to have an six-foot table with chairs or an open space to setup your own display. NOTE: Table size has been changed to 6' to help accommodate a bit more distancing and still be able to have enough tables.

Placement Requests:  In the comment section of your on-line registration purchase, please include requests for placement (companies to be near or competitors to be separated from).

* Annual Sponsors are eligible for one exhibit space with electricity (if needed) and two attendees at either the Summer Conference OR the Technical & Operations Conference show. When registering on-line, select the Bill Utility or Company in payment options and we will adjust the fee for you. Credit card payments will be refunded with $20 processing fee. Deadline:  July 30, 2021 (unless space sells out sooner)

Refund Policy

MMUA will issue a refund, minus $30 a processing fee, for registrations cancelled by 4:30 pm on July 30, 2021. Sorry, no refunds issued for cancellations after July 30.

Sponsorships Available

Another way to be a part of our Summer Conference is to sponsor an event. Below is a list of options we have available. If you have other ideas not listed, please let us know.

  • Co-sponsor Hors d 'oeuvres at Trade Show   $450
  • Sponsor Keg of Beer at Receptions (Monday or Tuesday)   $500 ea. (only 3 available)  SOLD
  • Sponsor Prizes for Golf Tournament   $360 (only 1 available)  SOLD
  • Sponsor Beverages during Golf Tournament   (arrange with Cragun's by calling 218.825.2852) *
  • Sponsor Golf Balls for Tournament   (bring your own) *

A sign with your company's logo will be posted at the event site and you will be listed in the official conference program.

* Please let us know that you are bringing golf balls or providing beverages on the golf course by registering for these items. We would like to acknowledge you in the program. Some items have limited quantities.

Hospitality Suites

Hospitality suites are a popular venue that Associate Members can reserve. Call Mavis at Cragun's to arrange. Her number is 218-825-2852. Cragun's does not allow food or beverages from outside the resort.

Lodging & Meals

UPDATE: Cragun's lodging is SOLD OUT. 

  • A block of rooms is being held at the Holiday Inn Express in Baxter. Call 218.824.3232 to reserve a room. Let them know you are with MMUA's Summer Conference for the group rate. 
  • You will need to order meals through Cragun's to eat with the group. Use this same reservation link to order meals.
  • Cragun's also has an option on the reservation page to be placed on a waiting list for a room should openings become available. 

Cragun's Resort has a special package for lodging and meals for those attending MMUA's Summer Conference. All reservations must be done online using this online formReservation cutoff is July 15. After this date, rates are guaranteed, but room availability is not.

Meals are included with lodging. If you are not staying at Cragun's or have a guest and/or child accompanying you, you will need to pre-order meal tickets. Use the same online form to order meals. Tickets are ordered directly through Cragun's and should be picked up at their front desk upon arrival.

Resort check-in is 5 pm on the day of your arrival. Check-out is 11 am.

Due to limited storage, they ask that packages arrive no more than 5 days prior to guest's arrival.


By registering for this event I/we authorize Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA) to photograph me at this event and use such photographs in MMUA marketing materials (both electronic and print). I/we understand that I/we will not be paid for giving this consent.
