Public Works Director/County Engineer Jackson County

Job Summary: The Public Works Director oversees the department’s personnel, budget, and compliance with state and federal requirements. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and projects for County highways, parks, and drainage systems, including the design and management of roads, bridges, and other civil engineering projects.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Highway Engineering plus current professional engineering registration as a Civil or Highway Engineer in the State of MN (P.E. designation), or equivalent, with a total of five (5) years of recent progressive civil or highway engineering experience, including two years in an administrative/supervisory position.
