Electrical Lineworker Training Course

MMUA would like to introduce your public utility to the new Electrical Lineworker Training Course. The course is designed to train students to become apprentices in powerline construction and maintenance. It is designed to prepare the student to join the workforce as a safe and knowledgeable apprentice ready to serve the electrical power industry.

MMUA is currently accepting applications for the Electrical Lineworker Training Course. Classes will begin on April 7, 2008 and are limited to 12 students. The students need to be sponsored by a public utility in order to attend. The program will run Monday through Friday for a total of 13 weeks within a 13-month timeframe at the MMUA Training Center located in Marshall , MN . Please see the enclosed course schedule for dates, which are subject to change, and brochure for additional information.

If you have any employees or potential employees who are going to sign up for the program, please return the enclosed Commitment Letter and Trainee Enrollment Application to MMUA via mail to 3025 Harbor Lane North, Suite 400 , Plymouth , MN , 55447 or fax to 763-551-0459, attention Mike Willetts. The application deadline is Friday, February 29, 2008.
