Schools

Learning the MMUA way

MMUA offers a number of different training schools, many on an annual basis. Our instructors are recognized experts in their fields and typically bring first-hand knowledge of utility operations. While many schools contain a classroom component, the real difference in MMUA training is the strong hands-on opportunity offered in our schools. Reading about a process is one thing, hearing about it another, but getting the opportunity to perform the operation yourself, under the guidance of an expert teacher, and in the company of your peers, adds up to a powerful learning experience.

Scheduled schools

The following training events are scheduled for the coming months:

  1. Leadership Academy
  2. Stepping Into Leadership
  3. Cross Training
  4. Generation School
  5. Meter School
  6. Overhead School
  7. Substation School
  8. Transformer School
  9. Underground School

Those interested in presenting on a topic at one of our events should review our Policy on Educational Content.
