Summer Conference — Refreshment Break

Co-sponsor a refreshment break held during the Summer Conference. A sign with your company's logo will be placed at the food site and you will have a listing in the official conference program.


Summer Conference — Reception Hors d'oeuvres

Co-sponsor hors d'oeuvres at the Trade Show Reception held during the Summer Conference. A sign with your company's logo will be placed at the food site and you will have a listing in the official conference program.


Summer Conference — Reception Keg of Beer

Sponsor a keg of beer during the Welcome Reception (August 19) or the Trade Show Reception (August 20) during the Summer Conference. A sign with your company's logo will be placed at the bar site and you will have a listing in the official conference program. Only three sponsors available so act fast!

Consider signing up for the beer glasses too! Your beer will move about the room with your logo on each glass. 


Summer Conference — Beer Cups

Provide a supply of beer cups with your company's logo on them to be distributed during the Welcome Reception or the Trade Show Reception held during the Summer Conference. You will be responsible to order your own cups and get them to the resort (quantity of 100 suggested). MMUA does not charge you for this, but we ask you to register so we can include your company name on our sponsor list in the official conference program. Only three sponsors available so act fast!


Summer Conference — Golf Tournament Beverages

Consider providing each tournament participant a beverage as they leave the club house. It could be a bottle of water, a soda or a cold beer. Deacon's Lodge can help you with ideas. Email Mark Neva at mneva@breezypointresort.com to make arrangements. While MMUA does not charge you for this (you will pay Breezy Point directly), we do ask you to register so we can include your company name on our sponsor list in the official conference program.


Summer Conference — Golf Balls for Tournament

How about providing golf balls with your logo for our golf tournament? You will be responsible to order your own golf balls and get them to Deacon's Lodge Golf Course. MMUA does not charge you for this, but we ask you to register so we can include your company name on our sponsor list in the official conference program. Contact Rita Kelly for number of golfers we have registered.


Sept. 10 | Minnesota Lineworkers Rodeo — Lunch/Refreshments

The Minnesota Lineworkers Rodeo will be held on September 10 at MMUA's Training Center in Marshall. Associate members are invited to participate by co-sponsoring the lunch and refreshments provided to the contestants and volunteers during the Rodeo. Sponsors will be recognized on signage at the event and on printed materials.

At the Rodeo, sponsoring companies are eligible to set up a display in the vendor display area directly across from the Rodeo field. Sponsors can also join us for lunch and the Awards Reception. Plus, each company will receive one commemorative Rodeo t-shirt. To ensure an accurate head count and correct shirt size, MMUA will follow up with sponsor contact prior to the event.

Lunch - 11 am to 12 pm

Sept. 10 | Minnesota Lineworkers Rodeo — Awards Reception

The reception will be held at The Gambler in Marshall starting at 5 pm. Awards will be presented to Rodeo winners. The reception is also open to all attendees of our Overhead School. Annual Sponsorship

MMUA Annual Sponsorships continue to increase in value for the involved Associate Member.  

For 2019, while various meeting and trade show fees have increased, we have held the line on the Annual Sponsorship contribution of $1,750.

We keep our sponsors in mind as we go through the year, and add value whenever and wherever we can. You can plan on the following benefits:

  • Recognition as an MMUA Annual Sponsor at www.mmua.org
  • Recognition as an Annual Sponsor on banners at MMUA events
  • Recognition as an Annual Sponsor in MMUA publications
  • One 2-column by 5-inch Resource newsletter ad, in color. This includes a free, color, business card-sized ad in the Professional Services Directory (on pages 11-12 of the newsletter). Sponsors can also upgrade to a larger ad for an additional fee.
  • One trade show table (including power) and two attendees at either the Summer Conference or Technical and Operations (T&O) Conference
  • Two meeting registrations at either the Summer Conference or T&O Conference.

The total value of the Resource ad, trade show table and meeting registrations for 2019 stands at approximately $3,675. The $1,750 sponsorship package is a real value for the involved associate member.

Nominate Individuals, Utilities for MMUA Awards

MMUA's Nominations and Awards Committee is accepting nominations for MMUA awards. This is a great way to recognize a municipal utility colleague, a public official, or a municipal utility system for showing leadership and innovation and providing an example for others to follow.
