Safety and Training

A crucial piece

MMUA's Safety and Training offerings cover a variety of safety management and job training programs, each a crucial piece to the operation of various municipal utilities across the state.

Safety management services

The MMUA team of Regional Safety Coordinators provides safety management services to cities and municipal utilities in Minnesota and the Dakotas. MMUA also provides the Regional Safety Group Program in conjunction with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT). MMUA, again in partnership with the LMCIT, offers operational and consulting services for municipal electric generating plants.

Job training services

MMUA Job Training and Safety instructors provide high-quality, on-site technical training and also provide instruction at a variety of MMUA schools and training courses. MMUA staff bring their top-notch teaching and training to your apprentices through the Lineworker Apprenticeship Program. And MMUA hasn't forgotten the municipal natural gas utility, with a suite of services designed to keep those utilities in the business.
