Rodeo Grounds Construction

MMUA is coordinating an effort to build the field for the 2016 APPA Lineworkers Rodeo, which will be held at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. We are working closely with Shakopee Public Utilities on this effort. It makes sense to build the field this fall for the event, which will occur April 2, 2016.

We have been in contact with a number of members who have expressed an interest in partnering on the line field construction. This website registration will serve as official confirmation of your utility's interest, and also as an invitation to all members who might be interested in partnering on this project. You are welcome to send more than one person, but to do so, please register each person so we have an accurate headcount.

Equipment Needs for Construction

In order to build the grounds in an efficient manner, we will need some of you to bring equipment. We are hoping to get about 10 diggers and 10 bucket trucks for this event because we have about 125 poles to set. Mike Willetts is building a list of equipment commitments.
