Minnesota's municipal utilities have been conducting their business annually since the association was formed in 1931. This business, along with educational and social offerings, occurs at the Summer Conference.
The conference occurs in summer, the date varying somewhat due to the necessity of scheduling around certain American Public Power Association events. The conference is held at a lakes-area resort. This is done for several reasons. One, the size of our group requires a large meeting space. Two, the setting facilitates the opportunity to renew old friendships and forge new ones. The founders of MMUA understood the importance of working with their peers, and we keep that practice alive and well.

Summer Conference Trade Show
One popular feature of the Summer Conference is the trade show. There are a number of other opportunities to get involved, as well. Associate members are invited to participate in the conference as hospitality room hosts, reception or break sponsors, as a meeting presenter, or in the trade show. The reception is held in conjunction with the trade show. Trade show information will be released concurrently with release of the meeting program.
