Summer Conference

An enduring event

Minnesota's municipal utilities have been conducting their business annually since the association was formed in 1931. This business, along with educational and social offerings, occurs at the Summer Conference.

The conference occurs in summer, the date varying somewhat due to the necessity of scheduling around certain American Public Power Association events. The conference is held at a lakes-area resort. This is done for several reasons. One, the size of our group requires a large meeting space. Two, the setting facilitates the opportunity to renew old friendships and forge new ones. The founders of MMUA understood the importance of working with their peers, and we keep that practice alive and well.

Conference Goes Virtual

The 2020 meeting was scheduled to be held at Cragun's Resort this year. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was made to hold this year's conference virtually. There is just no way to ensure the safety of our attendees and gather as we usually have.

The virtual conference will be held August 25-26. Information can be found HERE. We are working out the program specifics yet so check back for updates.
