MMUA's Summer Conference is going to Duluth to the DECC. This large venue allows us to expand our conference and will provide much more space for the trade show. Want to make an impression? Look through the list of optional add-ons to make your booth stand out. The show has also been extended an extra hour. 

This conference is a great opportunity for you to meet with municipal utility leaders from around the state. Associate members are also invited to sponsor events and/or host a hospitality room. See the Summer Conference website for more information on the conference itself.

Trade Show and Reception

Tuesday, August 22, 5:00 to 8:00 pm (set up begins at 2:00 pm)
Our trade show and reception is a great opportunity for our Associate members to meet with the attendees of our Summer Conference. Attendees tend to be general managers, superintendents and other key management positions as well as their governing board members.

Set up beings at 2:00 pm (no early setups allowed). Exhibit spaces will be pre-assigned. Registrants will receive a name badge and access to the reception. Name badge is required to attend.

Registration Fees

Exhibit booth with an 8' table: $400 each / $450 each on/after July 22
Exhibit booth without a table: $400 each / $450 each on/after July 22
Attendees: $40 each per person / $45 per person on/after July 22

Included with your booth:

  • 8'x10' booth with pipe and blue-colored drape
  • 8' table
  • chair (1)

Optional add-ons:
Electricity—$55 for 120 v
Electricity—$80 for 208 v *
Additional booth to double or triple your space—$400 each / $450 each on/after July 22 *
Carpet (9'x10')$60 *
Carpet (9'x20')$95 *
Carpet (9'x30')—$125 *
Additional chair(s)$25 ea. *
Stool—$20 ea. *
Power strip—$15 ea. *
Wastebasket—$15 ea. *

Placement Requests:  In the comment section of your on-line registration, please indicate  requests for placement—companies to be near or competitors to be separated from.

Deadline:  August 4, 2023 (unless space sells out sooner)

Important note for Annual Sponsors:

Annual sponsors eligible for items at no charge should select the "Bill Utility or Company" in payment options and we will adjust pricing accordingly. Credit card payments will be refunded less $20 processing fee. Not sure if you're an annual sponsor? Check our website for listings or contact Christian Glanville for options.

Refund Policy

MMUA will issue a refund, minus $50 a processing fee, for registrations cancelled by 4:30 pm on August 4, 2023. Sorry, no refunds issued for cancellations after August 4.

Hospitality Rooms

Associate members are invited to host a hospitality room during the Summer Conference. Duluth offers many locations for something different. To host a room at the hotel, contact Regina Fodness at the Holiday Inn & Suites by email or phone: 218-727-7492.

Note: All hospitality rooms are required to register with MMUA. Use this link on our sponsor page and scroll to Summer Conference—Hospitality Room to register. Unsanctioned hospitality rooms will not be permitted.

Shipping Instructions

Materials may be shipped to the DECC to arrive no earlier than August 14. Use this link to place your shipment order with the DECC. This will help them know you are shipping something and that something will be shipped back.

At the conclusion of the show, all items must be repackaged and prepared for shipping back out or removed from the premises.
