Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium

MMUA's Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium, in collaboration with our medical review officer, covers the testingrequirements listed with other Department of Transportation agencies. These include the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, often referred to as PHMSA, the Federal Transit Administration, and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, also known as FMCSA, among others.

Members enrolled in the consortium take advantage of group pricing for a laboratory medical review officer and drug testing services, enjoy the benefits of central billing services, and pool employees for random testing. At last count, more than 1,200 Minnesota municipal employees were enrolled.
