AMI Specialist Shakopee Public Utilities

Shakopee Public Utilities has an opportunity for an AMI Specialist.  This position is responsible for ensuring accurate meter data of the electric and water metering systems.  It is also responsible for troubleshooting, installing meters, assisting with locating and contacting customers for usage alarms.

·         Read non-AMI meters to collect data for billing

·         Identify and troubleshoot AMI issues in the field

·        Assist electric and water departments with locate tickets

·        Assisting GIS department with locating new and existing assets

·        Meter exchanges due to failure after troubleshooting

·        Contacting customer related to high usage alarms

·        Read meter reports and interpret data

·        Backup technical services supervisor with running read reports, monitoring meter data, and reviewing service orders.

·         Ability to integrate new technologies or procedures regularly

·         Ability to focus attention on small details to ensure accuracy

·         Ability to troubleshoot devices – IMR, use of meter reading devices, computer and phone.  Ability to learn new systems

·         Commitment to delivering high-quality service and support both internal and external

·         Analytical skills to read analyze and interpret the data, able to apply logic to problems that arise.

 

Pay Range: $34.93 - $43.67
