Journeyman Lineman

The City of Groton, South Dakota is seeking a journeyman lineman to join our municipal electric department. Duties include but are not limited to maintenance, inspection, construction, and repair of the city’s electrical distribution systems, street lighting, substations, and related equipment. Position is full-time and open until filled. Applicants must be citizens of the US, have a high school diploma or GED, have completion of necessary apprentice hours for the occupation of journeyman lineman, and possess a valid South Dakota commercial driver’s license (or be able to acquire CDL within 6 months of employment). Wage is dependent upon experience. The city provides a competitive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical insurance, life insurance, and South Dakota Retirement.
