Position Description:
The City of Fairmont is looking for a Parks Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled technical tasks in the maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds, open spaces, parks, and recreation systems. The typical work schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend work is required during the summer, and this position may be required to respond to off-duty emergencies and weather-related events.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or its equivalent. Preferred qualifications include two years of experience in grounds maintenance. Successful candidates must also possess a valid MN Class B Commercial Driver’s License or be able to obtain it upon hire.
The complete salary range for this position is $27.93/hour – $35.34/hour while the anticipated hiring range is $27.93/hour to $29.43/hour, DOQ.
