Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker
The City of Melrose, MN is accepting applications for a new position as a full-time Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker. The Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker performs maintenance and assists in the operations of the City’s Class D Water and Class A Wastewater Departments, including potable water system, wells, distribution system, wastewater collection system, Class A wastewater treatment facilities, bio-solid disposal system and Minnesota Department of Health certified lab to ensure safe, economical and efficient operations.
Desired qualifications include general maintenance skills, general knowledge of water/wastewater operations, maintenance of equipment pump and motors, knowledge of grounds, buildings and vehicle maintenance, and ability to operate light equipment.
Education, licensing and certifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Valid MN Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or eligibility to be licensed within six months.
CPR Certification/ First-Aid Training.
Class D Water and Class D Wastewater Licenses are preferred but not required.
Maintenance experience preferred.
Salary Range DOQ: $25.79 - $30.70 per hour.
