Waterworks Operator Class C Willmar Municipal Utilities
Willmar Municipal Utilities is hiring a full-time Class C Waterworks Operator to operate and maintain the city’s water production and distribution system. The position includes on-call rotation with extra pay and has residency response-time requirements.
Qualifications include an AAS degree or accredited water operator program, a Minnesota Department of Health Class D Water Operator license (Class C preferred or obtained within 4 months), and a MN Class D driver’s license (Class B preferred or obtained within 4 months). Computer and strong interpersonal skills are required.
This is a union position with competitive pay and benefits. The 2026 base wage range is $72,400–$87,800, depending on experience and licensure, with benefits including PERA, health/dental/life insurance, LTD, deferred compensation, PTO, and 11 paid holidays.
