Accountant

Under limited supervision, this position performs a variety of accounting functions and tasks, including maintaining and posting entries to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and payroll, as well as working with the utility billing system. Those functions include compiling, preparing, and maintaining financial data and records, and ensuring that all financial data is recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting; three years of accounting experience with general accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and payroll; and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or the ability to obtain CPA designation.

Desired qualifications include five years of utility accounting experience with general accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and payroll.

The 2026 salary range for this position is between $82,222 and $126,485 annually. Excellent health insurance and benefits package.
