Love working with numbers, we have the job for you. The City of Saint Peter is seeking a Full-Time ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, reporting directly to the Director of Public Works. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: AA/AS Degree in Accounting or related field; Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Suite and Outlook software; One year experience with bookkeeping or inventory control procedures; Possession of an American Heart Association Certification as a Basic Rescuer for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiac care or ability to obtain within six (6) months of the date of employment with the City. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; demonstrated knowledge of requisition and inventory control procedures; knowledge of equipment parts and tools; knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment utilized by the department; demonstrated knowledge of Cartegraph or similar software used for fixed asset and inventory control; demonstrated knowledge of Tyler/Incode or similar Software; demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety precautions; work experience of greater than one year in inventory control; work experience of greater than one year in bookkeeping; demonstrated ability to speak conversational Spanish or Somali. Starting salary range: Min $24.00 - Max $31.00 per hour DOQ (non-exempt).
