Lineman City of Fairmont
The City of Fairmont is seeking a full-time lineman to join its electric department. This position plays an integral role in providing efficient, dependable electric service to the community. It is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electric distribution system infrastructure as well as responding to service calls, troubleshooting electrical issues, performing utility locating services, and conducting necessary repairs to minimize service disruptions. A dedication to safety as well as strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. The typical work schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Additional hours may be required as necessary for weather- and emergency-related events.
Minimum qualification(s): two-year vocational college degree in an electrical-related field or Journeyman Lineman Certification. Preferred qualification(s): Journeyman Lineman Certification.

The salary range for this position is $41.26/hour – $52.31/hour with an anticipated starting salary up to the midpoint, DOQ.
