Position Description:
The City of Fairmont is seeking a full-time liquor store manager to oversee all operational and personnel aspects of its off-sale retail establishment, Fairmont Liquor. This position will be responsible for managing daily store operations and carrying out administrative tasks related to budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, and pricing. It will also be responsible for supervising employees, including the assistant store manager and multiple clerks.
The Liquor Store Manager is an important role that ensures efficient procedures, strong customer service, and full compliance with all municipal and state alcohol and THC beverage laws. The work schedule may vary depending on business need but will typically consist of 40 hours per week. Store hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Minimum qualification(s): high school diploma or equivalent as well as five years’ previous retail experience with some background in administrative and bookkeeping work. Preferred qualification(s): knowledge of computerized cash register systems and previous liquor retail sales experience.

The salary range for this position is $41.90/hour – $53.12/hour with an anticipated starting salary up to the midpoint, DOQ.
