Water Distribution Worker East Grand Forks

Performs skilled trades work installing, maintaining and repairing the utility’s water distribution system, operating heavy equipment necessary for uncovering and maintaining water lines, installing, testing and repairing water meters, keeping related records, reports and files, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work to be performed under the general supervision of the Distribution Foreman and Distribution Superintendent.

 Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 5 years’ experience working with underground water distribution construction and/or maintenance. Valid driver’s license and CDL within six months. Pipe layers certification within one year, Class D Water Operator’s license within two years and Class C Water Operator’s License within three and a half years of employment.

 Wage Range: $29.28 to $39.57.  Starting salary is dependent on Water Supply System Operator Certification and experience level.
