2026 Meter School
Meter School features two course options: beginner/intermediate and advanced. Each course offers a combination of classroom and hands-on exercises, during which participants will work at the metering stations under direct instructor oversight and feedback.
NOTE: MREA members must register through MREA.
Beginner/intermediate track
The beginner/intermediate track is aimed at personnel with little experience with electric meters. Instruction builds on the pre-conference workshop and will include more hands-on training.
Advanced track
The advanced track is intended for those who have a working knowledge of meters/metering. The course combines in-depth instruction with practical hands-on exercises that simulate scenarios that could occur at any utility.
Working in small groups, the advanced track will focus on troubleshooting a variety of challenging metering setups, then applying a load to determine if they are correctly configured.
