Utility Supervisor

Position Description: The Utility Supervisor serves as the City’s lead utility operations manager, overseeing the operation, maintenance, construction, and improvement of Lanesboro’s electric, water, and wastewater utility systems. This position is responsible for the management of the municipal power plant and directs the Electric Distribution Division while providing supervisory oversight of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Utility Divisions. The Utility Supervisor ensures utility services are delivered safely, reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations. Working closely with utility staff, the City Administrator, Public Utility Commission, engineering consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, this position coordinates daily operations, capital projects, and system improvements while providing leadership, direction, and support to utility personnel.
