Water/Wastewater Operator Detroit Lakes Public Utilities

Detroit Lakes Public Utility is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operator.  You will perform skilled operation and maintenance work involving the water and wastewater operations of a Class A MBR Water Reclamation Facility, an iron removal water treatment plant, lift stations and a collection system for the City of Detroit Lakes.

Qualifications:

• Preferred:
  • Municipal Experience
  • Minnesota Class C Wastewater License.
  • Minnesota Class C Water License 
• Required:
  • Associate degree in environmental science or equivalent and
  • Four (4) years’ experience maintaining water and wastewater facilities
  • Valid Class B CDL License with tanker endorsement. 
  • Class D water and wastewater license with ability to obtain class C within 1year.

Salary:

• $67,350.40 ($32.38/hr.) – $74,651.20 ($35.89/hr.), depending on qualifications and experience.
