Generation Coordinator–MMUA
Salary Range $100,000-$125,000
Job summary
The Generation Coordinator has primary responsibility for overseeing the Generation Program, as contracted by the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for loss control. S/he serves as a liaison between MMUA, the League of Minnesota Cities, and clients.
Essential functions
- Conduct annual accreditation audit of power generation plant facilities.
- Review/develop written operational and maintenance procedures (manuals).
- Ensure maintenance schedules and required reporting are current.
- Develop and provide training to client communities; serve as a resource on injury prevention, safety culture, property protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain training records.
- Serve as an ambassador for MMUA and support activities that enhance the membership brand.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, the League and state and federal agencies.
- Conduct specialized post-incident/accident review/investigation, audits, assessments, or other programs/services qualified to perform.
- Work collaboratively with and through colleagues to help MMUA achieve the goals in its strategic and operating plans.
Required education and experience
Certified Journeyman Line Worker and minimum 5 years’ generation plant operational experience. Solid foundation of applicable state and federal regulations, codes, standards. Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships.
