WASTEWATER OPERATOR I or II

The City of New Prague (pop. 8,340) is seeking applications for Wastewater Operator I or II. This position performs work at a Class A Biological Aerated Filter Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lift Stations. This includes operations, repairs, and maintenance; collecting samples and performing tests; evaluating, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment; preparing and maintaining operation & maintenance records; and participation in an on-call rotation with 45-minute response time.

Minimum Qualifications for Operator I:

Graduation from high school or a GED; ability to attain MPCA Class D Wastewater Operator license in 24 months; valid MN Class D Driver’s license and ability to attain a MN Class A CDL with tanker and air-brake endorsements within 6 months; computer/SCADA skills desirable. Operator I pay range $31.56- $46.08.

Minimum Qualifications for Operator II:

Graduation from high school or a GED; MPCA Class D Wastewater Operator license and ability to attain MPCA Class C Wastewater Operator license in 36 months; valid MN Class D Driver’s license and ability to attain a MN Class A CDL with tanker and air-brake endorsements within 6 months; and computer/SCADA skills. Operator II pay range $34.80-$50.80.
